Default oil block off now i have counter balance probs

i keep leaking counterbalance oil out of my oil injection block off plate i used high temp silicone to seal it off and i let it sit 48 hours before i refilled the C.B. oil has anyone else had this happen????

I was going to say that the 250 does not have a counter balencer. It not only needs to be high temp but resistant to gas. It needs to dry for a day or two. Dont glob it on but dont skimp. You can use the blue RTV gasket and that should work.

i got a gasket and ultra black sealer so this should take care of it the silicone i was useing was not rated for oil use....oh well live and learn..

I used an oil and gas resistant silicone that is supposed to replace gaskets. I used a thin layer on both the plate and the block. Only let it set overnight the next day filled it back up, never had that prob though.

I had the same problem i just siliconed it and havent had a problem since.

im glad someone else has had it happen i was thinking that maybe something was wrong....

Hondabond, Yamabond, or even the look alike stuff threebond. It doesnt get any better than this stuff.
