another darn jetting question, 400 sport please help
ok sorry to put everyone through this again but i love suggestions when it comes to these things i am putting a uni filter in my 400 sport. when i bought it it had a 230 main in it the fmf gnarly pipe and six 1" holes in the air box lid i spoke with several people who said you dont need to change jetting for the gnarly pipe so i dident mess with it but after reading past questions about simular setups im really confused. the fmf web site suggests that i stick with the stock jet "230 or 240???" unless i drill six 1" holes then i should go with a 260 main..but it doesent say if that is with the stock air filter or not..so what should i do??? also after reading old posts it sounds like since my pipe is low end that i should open up my air screw on the carb to give it more fuel down low since that is where it makes its power..
could some one please shed some light on this for me i tried to search but just ended up confused...

ok .... on my quad i run a 250 main with a 37.5 pilot and the air screw out...umm im not tottaly sure but thats an easy fix for you.. anyway i have a KN air filter with outerwear and AAEN trail pipe ... so i'd think you'd be safe with the 260 because of the holes in your air box....better rich than lean...put that in and try it and tell us what things turn out like.
