Is this your first Sportsman? If not, can you compare it to your other one?

 

i have a 03 sportsman 400 that my daughter rides and the 05 quad seems too ride smoother and has a little more ground clearance along with the added new features for 05

 

I can't wait to drive one of these things! If the ride is as good as everyone is saying it must be awesome! Thanks for the info scooterpred!

your welcome polaris i like alot more little things about it too like the plastic and running boards you will have too just ride one to see if you like it and if its right for you i rode it and bought it i think its one of the best quads out right now

 

Yes I love the new looks as well. And how about that rear cargo box? It is huge! The front box could be a little deeper, but a nice thing to have none the less. The new Sportsman is a total different (better) ATV IMO. Polaris REALLY did a good job on this! Good luck with it and enjoy your new 05![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

It drives smooth like a Cadillac, has more places to store stuff than a hamster's cheeks, and definately has the looks to boot. Very smooth ride and power ban. The new tread claws up the hillside like a grizzly bear on a charge! I'm glad I waited for it to come out, and very happy with the purchase.

 

I've only had one quad at any given time. Now I have 700EFI. I REALLY like the 05s so I'm most likely going to trade up for one.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I have the 04 sportsman but my question is for anyone who has an 05 EFI. does the 05' model still have the sportsman clutch noise when getting on and off the throttle.

 

yes, mainly I can only hear it at slower speeds and uneven terrain....
