a couple things:
my last post someone told me that i can remove the starter to race lighten the flywheel and increase rev speed. was wonderring how substantial this would be? because it seems to me that when i come out of corners, i'm only reving up for a split second, after that, i'm full on, so what's the difference really?
also, HPD roller clutches, anyone have one? good// bad? do they really make it responsive like a manual clutch? b/c i gotta tell ya, the lack of responsiveness is wierd when racing motocross, and scares the h3ll out of me on doubles // tripples. does it add engine braking as well?
Any one know what the SC 500 X weighed? i have aluminum: bumper, wheels, and floorboards... down to the TB250's weight? like 460ish maybe? if not, how can i shed some lbs? i can't decide whether to build the scram or just buy a pred, and i think a MX scram would be a cool sleeper at the track... oh well thanks for the info.

The 500 HO motor is a torquey motor. If you go to race lightening the flywheel for quicker revs, you will lose all your torque. Works good on the 2 strokes and maybe even on the pred, but not on the 500 HO which makes good LOW END torque. The HPD roller clutches are suppose to be the cats ***. You can get the EBS ones as well to add engien braking. If you plan on racing MX, then just buy a pred. The scrambler was never made to be a racer. It will cost a lot more to make it into something that it is not than it would to be to just buy a Pred.
