warranty rip off.
Saw where polaris was offering some polaris bucks again plus they double your warranty. Well sounds great until you read the warranty info.
Double your warranty for free consists of additional six month POLARISTAR Protection Plus coverage and subject to $50 deductible per visit.
What? $50 per visit. Dang an extra 6 months only cost you $99. Thats just wrong. I wonder if you have to pay $50 per visit during the original 6 months. If so that would bite.
Also noticed that they aint offering nothing for the scrambler as for as bonus bucks.

its saying that for ever fix that should be free you have to start with 50 dollars out of your pocket everything else should be paid for. some things it wouldnt be worth it but if u blow a clutch or something it would be worth it cuz that gets expensive man trust me

Thats like saying. "FREE hotel room with the purchase of an $90 breakfast". Free is Free. Not this junk of $50 out of pocket. Bombardier seems to be able to give a FREE 2 year warranty. There for a second I thought polaris was doing us loyal polarians good. Then the moment was gone.

i think any good company would go beyond the call to satisfy a customer beyond the warranty period.
let's look at GM for instance, after the 3yr/36K factory warranty, Dealers can self-authorize out another 2yrs/24k to satisfy the cuctomer if they want to. as long as the dealers don't ABUSE the system, it works quite nicely! GM has some VERY happy customers as a result!
Polaris must rotate programs or things will get stale. you can only advtz a "free $69 Winch" for so long before things get old! LOL!
Polaris must be creative and i like the idea of the free 6 mo warranty....even if it has a $50ded. as Polaris500HO4x4 said, IF something major blows, a $50 ded sure sounds good to me!
my 2 cents~

The program is a good program. But the program that they had before this one was $99 for an extra 6 months. With no out of pocket expence to you. They went the wrong direction. Now it's $50 bucks per visit. But hey it's better than nothing. And it's there for us if we need it.

I bought the 5 year extended warranty with my bike('02 500ho x sportsman),I think I should have took the $1200.00 it cost and put it in bank account in case something went wrong.I guess I was just a little green being it was my first bike purchase, but I can tell you if the time comes that I purchase another bike there will be no purchasing a extra warranty. It's just not worth the money.just my 2 cents worth ---bodean
