balancer position

Default balancer position

Hi,
I have taken my polaris scrambler 400 1995 engine apart and I dont see any marking
on balancer gear.how do I align it with respect to crankshaft position?

Default balancer position

Look very close there should be a puch mark on the gear,at the bottom of the teeth.And there will be another on the crankshaft gear as well.

Default balancer position


I saw the punch marks, problem is I dismantled the balancers gear
in order to replace the bearing.
I would like to the position of the counter weight in respect to flywheel.
I guess they should be 180 deg
