Aaron, looked at your pics, thanks. The drilling was for the rear two holes. If you look inside, there is a place for the screws, but not on the outside, so you drill from the inside out....

Jeff, ya, the dog weighs alot, but spot on for what an adult male Rottweiler should weigh. Have to watch the weight on Rottweilers otherwise they end up with hip problems. Last time he was there he must have gotten in a fight with another dog as he had some puncture wounds on his head. I warned them about it this time, not to put him out with agressive dogs. He is a well trained, socialized, Rottweiler. He won't bite first, but if the other dog gets aggressive, he snaps and goes after it. I had him out walking one day and he got attacked by two chows. Now I carry pepper spray near the house, but didn't have it then. I grabbed one dog, he took care of the other one. The guy that owned the dogs was all pissed because I threw his dog and my Rottie had the other one by the throat.....I had him on a leash. I told the guy if I had a gun I would have shot his dogs....I asked him 'what if I was walking a young child?'....haven't seen him since....

oh well.....

To answer Jeff's questions....I can say...

the '05 has a much better ride than previous year SPs.....the suspension is awesome on this machine....even when I hit those 3 whoops in the snow last Sunday because it was whiteout....i didn't bottom out....

the fenders are wider as well as the stance and it doesn't throw nearly as much mud on you....

for such a big and heavy machine, it handles like an amble lightweight in the turns and transitions, you can slide the rearend around and steer it right out....

the ride is plush, something I like for all day riding....

and, since it is big enough, you can put your pillow up on the rear rack and lay back and catch a nap.....

I'm in Tampa, Florida right now, but look for some more pictures after I ride next Sunday.....when I'm back in New Mexico....

dave
I agree 100% with you. The 05's are just awesome to say the least.
i have a feeling it'll pull on all other moster quads EXCEPT the brute force in a drag race, although there's a good chance it'll have a higher top speed.

If it is top dog this year it will soon be beat. Don't worry about trying to have the best and the latest. Just buy the one you like
