I personally don't agree with Raj's break in procedure.........I rode mine for an hour(changed the oil).......then for about 5-7 more hours(changed the oil), then for 9-10 hrs after that changing the oil every time after 10 hrs(or less)..........During the first two oil changes I rode under 1/2 throttle, then after than I sped it up a bit..........and rode it like it was broke in..........

Brad i think your way is more like funny... whats with the oil changing every single time???
My dealer and my mechanic said to ride ez with the machine for like 2 full gas tanks which is like 10 hours (dunno how its for the preds)
then change the oil (ride easy for like an hour) and hit full throttle like you sepuse to do!

i guess if something goes wrong ------>>> use the warrinty!

Everyone believes this about the oil, I was just stating it for your use.........

First oil change: After 1hr
Second oil change: After about 5-7 hrs
From there on: After 10(or less) hrs of riding

Nothing funny about it, that is the way you are supposed to do it............

I'm just doing what the manual said to do. If some thing happends.....I have a year warranty. I rode it hard this past saturday, so I changed the oil yesterday. My buddys 04 has held up...and he broke it in the same way. Everyone has different ways of breaking in a quad....thats does not mean mine is the right way. But I paid $6,000.00 bucks for this thing and if it's going to break down I hope it does it under warranty.

I really dont think the manual is the way to go.

I use this method, and my machines are typically faster than others.

well wow i read the break-in way from the site you posted... i never thought you need to ride hard on the machine when you first get it!!! well i think i need more people to verify this....

it means if i ride hard on the machine in the break-in period it will go faster and gain bit more power if i do it the as the manual say???

I was told break it in easy....and break it in how you are going to ride it. So I did it like the manual said to do, I would hope that Polaris knows how to break in there quads.
