Starting problems and tie rod ends
I have a 96 Sportsman 400 4x4. I have recently purchased a new battery and was riding the machine last night running the lights. After running it for about 20 minutes, I turned it off (and the lights). A short time later I tried to start it but it was tunring slow as if the battery was low. Any suggestions? Also my outer tie rod ends are loose and needing replaced. Which ones are the best to get? And does it matter if they have zerks? It seems alot of them do not have grease zerks.

Sounds like you have a bad stator.Charge your battry up and and check the voltage should be 12-13 volts.Start the motor and recheck it while reving the motor alittle and it should go up to around 14volts. On the tierod ends if you can afford it up grade to the new style but you will need all 4 along with the new hardware. The stock ones are ok but do wear out faster.
