Good sport machines, I bought my 2000 2x4 for 2K last December and love it. They are easily modded for more power! The older ones are non-concentric drive and require more chain maintainance.

 

my father in law picked up a 94 polaris Xplorer 4x4 for $1000 this summer and it runs/looks great. the only thing it needed was brakes which the seller included front and rear polaris brakes still in the packages. we also had to tighten up the chains. look around you can probably find a newer machine or maybe even a 4x4 for about the same price. remember the newer/more popular models are going to be easier to find parts for. look on monkeyads.com or your local classifieds ads in the newspaper. the deals are out there just have to be patcient.
