porting the head on a scrammy

wonderin if anyone has ported there head on there scrabler and if did any noticible gains....
ive already bored .40 over,piped,jetted and did a clutch kit so i didnt know how much this hp or this would gain
also i thought about lightning my flywheel but i was to keep my electric start is it even going to be worth it to do since i was to keep my start

If it's a 2-cycle then yes, porting the cylinder would be worth as much power as the pipe itself made. The gains aren't quite as prevailent on the 4-strokes, but it still does help. I only said that because you didnt say whether it was the 400 or the 500, but seeing the HPD trail pipe I would assume it was the 400.

yup its a 400 i was thinkin of going with HPD for the porting since thats what ive got wit everything else

you can lighten the fly wheel and still keep your electric start with the trail lightening...and it will help your motor build rpms faster but i think it takes away from your low end grunt.."there is a give and take for everything aint there"...

Reit38, with the other mods that you have getting your jug ported and your head shaved would really wake your 400 up. I also had RcR lighten my flywheel while he was doing the other work. I don't know how much it helped but I don't regret having it done.
