I put an HMF exhaust on my Pred and it made a BIG difference in the low-end torque. I now have no problem lofting the front end for sudden rocks/roots/logs in the trail. Also make sure you take the time to jet it correctly..... It will make a BIG difference in the overall power of the quad. With the 13t sprocket and an aftermarket exhaust you'll have plenty of torque.

I JUST GOT TO RIDE MINE FOR THE FIRST TIME ON THE TRAILS THIS WEEKEND AND MY TLD HAD NO PROBLEMS POPING OVER LOGS AND CREEKS BY JUST GOOSEING IT IN 2ND OR 3RD. I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER WITH ANY OTHER BIKE I HAVE OWNED OR RIDDEN.

I've been riding my TLD Predator since late 2002, mine is something like 512 off the assembly line. Not one regret at all, and I even traded off a sweet big bore 404cc Banshee for my 2nd Troy Lee Preddy.

The Raptor and Predator have two very different power curves, and no, the predator torque won't comare to the Raptors even piped and jetted...........BUT, the Raptor doesn't want to rev as quick nor fast as the Predator either, the Predator has one of the most 2 stroke pipe hit power curves, similar to a YFZ450.

Yes piped and jetted with the carb slide mod the predator will loft the front end and clear any mud puddle or log. It just doesn't have that 2nd or 3rd gear torque like the Raptor, but the preddy outshines the raptor in the handling department any day. corners great!

Well the first thing is that the suspension on the predator is set up to keep the front wheels on the ground. The weight doesnt tourque up it puts it to the rear wheels. Also from what I've noticed whith my 03 is that there is somewhat of a power ban. The Bike is ment to be in the higher RPMs hennce the reason why they are offering the 13T front sprocket...(which I just orderd) Just my $.02 on it....

Doug does alot to the stock carb, I do know that he cuts some of the spring off so the slid will open easier, which will give you better throttle response. I know that I sent my buddys carb off and it made a world of difference. I don't know all the stuff he does to it...I just know it works. Bradracer18 has his carb mod also, he might be able to chime in and help you out alittle more.

he does a ton to it, no one on here, and I mean no one knows what he does. And he is always working on it too. He now has another mod available for the carb........you can get the first 85 dollar mod, and then also he offers a extra 45 dollar mod.
