Don't know what you weigh, but yes the shocks come set very stiff............
Loosen up the front preloads a good 1/4 from where they are now, soften up the rear shock preload the same, put your rear compression ressie **** on 1, 2, or 3, and get a quicker rebound by adjusting the rear shock rebound at the bottom of the shock so the rear end doesn't pack up.
The ***** are there to turn, fiddle with them and dial in the suspension to your riding style and local terrain.

loosen up the front lock nut, and spin the front springs down a bit.......to your liking. On the rear, I like my resivor set at 1, and I also like to loosen up the rear spring a bit.........I turned the dampener(at the bottom of the shock, red ****).......I don't remember which way though, but about 1/2 way from where it is to where it stops turning.......towards the softer side.......
