mtpockets, dont think they would rub. There is a lot of clearance up there.

 

there is alot of room, you may even be able to rub the 28s with enough force on the suspension....i have 27" tires and haven't hit them yet, but when you are going over rocks hard while turning, they come close. In most cases there won't be sufficient force on the suspension, but I think you could definitely rub the 29's, I think even the 28s under the right circumstance....

lets us know how your riding goes and what you think of the machine...i wouldn't mind having one, but i just bought the 700 back in early september, so not economical for me to upgrade...

Wouldn't the speed reading on your speedometer be reduced with the larger circumference tire anyway?

Can someone recommend a good tire for snow? I've read that you are better off with stock tires in snow, however you'd think that any increase in ground clearance would help, regardless of the tread pattern?

BTW, front rack looks better with the extender.

 

As far as the speedo, I don't pay attention to that, I use the GPS. Dropped the top speed going up to the 27" which are much wider also in the front....by about 6 or 7 mph.

I have the front rack on now and about everything else on the machine.
