the 700 carb though can be made more powerfull then a EFI with mods, mainly because if you jet it, new exaust and some other things, you can get more power out of it. Pure Polaris has a new exaust set comming out for the 800 which is suposed to add a few horsepower, and a few companys are coming out with some piston kits to make the 800 actualy 800 CC's

the 700 is a great machine especially in the woods yet the 800 is that much better in all of the above. the 700 can take off a little before me I can pass by a bunch at anytime with no problem

I picked up my SP800 on Friday and I love it. The modifications are as follows:
27 10/12 Mud Lites front
27 12/12 Mud lites rear
ITP Series C Type 6 Wheels
Warn 3.0 winch
Polaris brush guard

This machine has everything I was looking for in an utility ATV. However I must say that I do not find the acceleration off the line as intense as has been described. I have trouble pulling a wheelie in high or low. the low range seems to have a rev limiter of some sort that prevents full power in low. The winch and brush guard may be adding enough weight to reduce my wheelie preformance, but I must have them for what I do. Overall I think the 800 is a great utility ATV. It is not a sport ATV, although it will fly. P.S. The "Lock & Ride" Accessories are great. I have the dry box and gun scabbard and they go on in seconds.

You have to find the right terrain. In high mine just spins and spins the tires. On some grass, sit back little bit from a standstill and gun it. It should come right on up!

Low range is lower than that of most other quads. My old Rubicon and Grizzly 660 would hit 40 MPH in low. My SP800 tops out somewhere around 15-20MPH in low. This makes drag racing in low a little tough.

Anyone have pictures of their 800's? I am anxious to get mine! I heard they come with alloy wheels.

M-Mudd,

I have no problem with a wheelie in high or low gear, strange, I'm about 215lbs, I don't know if that has much to do with it?? I don't like that rev-lim in low gear either!! I also have a knocking noise on the exaused side of the machine, is this normal.... do you have this noise? Other than these 2 things I think it's the best ATV out there, best ride, power, storage, lights, tires, & rims IMHO.
