Default 800 get's stronger by the mile

Wow, I took my 800SP for a 70 mile ride today with my friend Jon, he rides a 660 Grizz. I was dead set on a 660 myself but I just happened to look on the Polaris web site one day and seen this beast & the rest is history! The 800 outperforms the 660 in everyway. I have 138 miles on the bike & the engine is getting stronger as I go, it has a faster top end (72) & more low end grunt than before plus the exaust just gets throatier(sp) the more miles I put on it. I thought the dual exaust was cool to look at when it was new, but the sound wasn't so hot............But it makes the ground shake now!!!

Most posts I have read in this forum have said the Kawisaki BF will beat the 800 in the power end of a shoot out, man I would like to ride one if it's true?? I can't imagine a bike with more power than the 800 has. I wonder how far this power thing is going to go? I think this bike will level off soon as far as the speed & power go, but it is already the best toy I have ever owned

If anyone has a BF, let me know what the thing can do because my friends brother has one & I know we are going to have a show-down if we ever get together.

I forgot to mention that we switched rides about an hour into our trip and I had the Grizz full throttle at 64mph & he past me like I was standing still........It felt strange on the Grizz, too tippy & weak. I never said this to him but I felt like I could toss the 660 on my rack and use it for a spare, LOL!!

Congrats with your new toy,

Ya, those new 800 EFI's are bad @ss.
I cant wait to get mine.

They definitely have some serious power. I just wish they were a tad bit lighter. They still have the power to push all that weight though.

I have heard rumors that the BF could take the Polaris in a speed challenge. But who cares. The 800 EFI is not made for speed. Its made for power, working and pulling stuff.

If it came down to raw power, the Polaris 800 EFI would walk all over the Brute Force.

By the way, next time you go riding, take some pics.
Would be cool to check out your new toy.

Thanks!
