Predator Owners/HPD Power Max Pipe?
#1
Thinking of selling my Pure Polaris pipe, and buying the hpd pipe. Any pred owners have one on here. I would like to know the hp gain on this pipe. It says 5+ in 300 feet.

Definately better than your PP pipe........probably not by as much as you think tough(maybe 2 hp is my guess)......I would also consider the rath setup, I think it might be even better......I think Doug might have his pipe out too!!! Either way, probably best to talk to Doug on this one, he has tested 'em all........

Wow RAJ. You are thinking of selling your WB pipe before I even get one. My dealer is still jerking me around saying that they are back ordered. Anyway, one question: How do you like your K&N Rath Racing Intake? I am looking for an intake to compliment my pipe (if and when I ever get it). Also, I was on predatorowners.com and I got the shop manual for the 03-04 predator. I know we have the 05 but it is a good reference point. Let me know if you want a copy of it.

I realy like the Rath K&N, workd great. Hey on the manual....my dealer is going to burn me a copy of the 05, and when I get it I will send you a copy if you want. If I decide to get the HPD pipe, and you have not got your pipe yet I might make you a good deal on mine.

Thanks for looking out for me with the '05 manual. I wish I had gone to a dealer like yours. I called the parts department today and they told me that my pipe is "in transit". I told them that when it comes in, that would be the last time they would see me. Do you know the other day they charged me $12 a piece for 2 oil filters? Talk about taking care of your repeat customers. Anyway, let me know how much the manual will set you back for shipping and I will cover it.

Kman01, You can go to wal-mart and get fram oil filters for $5.00 bones. Thats what we use. I'm hoping to get the copy tomorrow, that is if it rains. So I will let you know.
Omhapredator, I asked Doug how much he wanted for his slip on, I think he said $299.00. And it is 105 decibles. I don't know much about Rath's slip on. I think i'm leaning on HPD. But who knows, I might just keep my Pure Polaris.

If you want sound control, the only two to consider are the Pure Polaris, or the HPD quiet versions. If sound testing isn't a concern, either of the HPD (race version), Rath, Nicholas units will keep you smiling. Originally, HPD's dyno was the source of the Nicholas/HPD team, now things have mixed up a bit......hopefully everyone is playing nice in the sandbox, cause then all the customers benefit from the power gains.
