Awesome pics, cool machine. I'm the guy that just picked up the same quad, but in Mossy Oak. I got that cool brush guard, too. So the winch cable doesn't rub the brush guard bar when you lift the plow? I had the same set-up on my 04 600, and the cable rubbed the brush bar hard. I put a piece of PVC pipe over the bar, but after repeatedly moving back and forth over the PVC, the cable eventually broke. I ended up fabricating another bar, which I bolted to the sides of the brush guard that had a pulley on it that ran the cable down to the plow without touching the brush guard. Kind of a pain in the neck. I figured on this one I'd just take the brush guard off for the winter. It would be nice if I didn't have to do that. One of these days when I get a spare minute, I've got to get my plow brackets bolted on to the new machine and see how everything lines up.

As far as how big of tires can you fit. I run 27 589's (also have Mud lites) on my '05 700 EFI. The rears aren't a problem, but without spacers on the front you can only run 27x9-12's. You can run 28's without a lift, but will need wheel spacers to move the wheels out from hitting the steering.
As far as the KQ...its a nice machine. Utility machines are awesome. Your best best is to run around to the dealers, see if you can drive some of the machines and make your decision from that. Also, read all the forums here and you can see what and if there are any problems. Don't always rely on what you read though. You may read about problems from different makes and models, but they may be the minority.

How big of tires can I put on my 05 SM 800? I am looking at the at the itp 589's Got a nice puncture on the stock tires from a rock or something. Not to thrilled with the bead lock rims. It was a nice pinch whole. But nothing 12 plugs could not fix with a little fix a flat.

I wouldn't go with the 28's and I'm not a fan of spacers, so go with the 27s and you'll be happy. Remember, buy tires that are 27x9-12 on the front, then you won't need spacers. You have quite a few choices, but for all-around/mud/snow, etc., get either the Mud Lites or 589's.

The cable won't hit the brushguard on the '05 machine. However, with moving the cable in and out you will rub on the brushguard because you will drag it on there, so if you want to keep everything scratch free, then put a piece of pipe insulation on there like I have. I looks good too.

Why would you go with such a small blade on a quad easily capable of pushing another foot of blade?
The bigger blade would push more and it might have been wide enough that your tires wouldnt be compacting the snow on the edges of the plowed area. Of course there are 72" blades around as well that would take care of that problem too.

The 48" plow is great for most plowing. The 60" if better for larger and longer driveways or that extra width for the parking lot. I keep both so that I can plow sidewalks or take on a large project without taking all day. May have to add that 72" plow to the collection. That seems tempting.
