Default Tire upgrade

I'm upgrading the tires on my 2004.5 Sportsman 500HO and want to run a larger tire but still want to keep my stock rims (don't want to put lift kit or tire spacers). I've ordered the ITP Mud lite tires, 26x9x12 for the front and 26x12x12 for the back, but I've heard that the front tires might rub on the tie-rod. Can anybody help, the tires have not arrived yet.
Thanks
Blake

If you do a search you will find that you need to run spacers on the '04 machines. I have a '05 700 EFI with 27x9-12's on the front and no problem....but on the '04's its a different story. Search to forum, there was a complete thread on it...
