There is a reason the 700 EFI outweighs the KQ by about 150 pounds and its all good

For how fast the polaris's go with the extra weight, you know the motors are strong....only thing I think of is when my '05 700 flips over on top of me and thats another 150 pounds to lift off....lol....

Hmmmm, I partially agree. For towing and hauling, nothing beats a Polaris. You really have to see one in action to appreciate how well it tows and hauls. Also, because of the extra weight (here we go again!), nothing pushes snow like a Polaris. These bikes definitely have their place.

For riding fast, riding slow, handling, and all out toughness, there are much better choices out there; there isn't a single ATV that excels at everything. It all depends on what you wish to do with your machine.

The KQ might be a better "sport" and high speed ride but for plushness and features the 800 can't be beat. Its probably faster too!
THe BF is narrow and tall= tipsy. It MAY be faster.... We'll see.

I think my KQ rides a lot smoother than my 700 efi.

Intersesting...You would know. That would be the only quad to tempt me away from Polaris...but it won't happen.

I think it comes down to feel and preferences. I drove a King Quad and had considered it. I thought it was an awesome quad, and it is.
I prefer the "feel" of the sportsman over the King quad. To me the King quad would have been a great replacement for my prairie 650 if I wanted irs and sport-like handling. I think the King quad is the king in that department.

However, I'm not looking for sportiness, if I was I'd choose the king quad right now.
I just like how the sportsman drives, and I think it's plenty sporty for me. It's all about feel and preferences. I really want the on demand 4x4, and other features of the sportsman. I don't like the 2 wheel ebs though.

So, in summary, both are awesome, it's just depends what you want and like.

I look at the differences between my KQ and 700 Sportsman like this:
If they were both trucks the KQ would be a Toyota Tacoma and the Polaris would be a Ford Superduty diesel. If I rode with mostly sport riders I would take the KQ. For other uses and hunting it is the Sportsman. I really don't think either quad will handicap anyone. Just get out and ride something!
