My family and I recently purchased an Xpedition 425 and already have over 800 miles on it. We use it for plowing snow and hauling wood, when we're not working it we're rackin' up the miles on trails with our friends none of whom own a polaris. Infact most everybody has a different machine but all 4WD. We help each other through the rough spots and each machine has it's strong points. Mine just happens to have more of them!

P.S.I'm curious as to the top speed of the SP500.

What is the top speed for the 425?? Is this the same engine that is in the new SP400 ??? Will the top end be the same ??

The top speed of my Xpedition is right around 60mph. First and second gears are stump pullers. Third gear works well for weaving in and out of the trees and also works good for running the mudflats(a very torquey engine).

i agree.i love the exp. 425..yesterday was the first real test for my winch, while riding along the trails we saw a 400 ex parked,as we got up to it a kid ran out of the woods and asked if we had 4x4,he asked if we would pull his buddy out of the mud as his 400ex wouldnt do it,we abliged..went around to the spot to find(this is not bashing but honest truth) a 3w/d honda,i didnt even look to see what kind, didnt care, machine was buried over the tires, started to winch and it was sucking my quad in.unhook and position myself behind a large utility pole for the power lines, rehooked and sucked it right out..the kids were impressed, one even said i bet you never get stuck,i said nope we all get stuck sometimes..after unhooking i jumped in the mud he was stuck in and whaled thru it no problem, stopped on the other side and said theres the difference between 3 and 4 wheel drive..it was a joy

Don't you just love riding through mud you just pulled somebody out of. I love to do that after I pull out my friend on his AC500. We have a lot of friendly bashing. I don't always make it through, and he's pulled me out sometimes. But it sure is fun. That AC500 is a beast. I wouldn't trade my Big Boss 500 6x6 for one though.
