Default OK Need some carb help

I'm in the process of putting a 500HO 40mm carb on my 700. Was wondering what jet to start with how many turns out on the air screw and what position of the clip on the needle. The 500HO carb came with a 152.5 main jet and the 700 came with a 155 main jet. Should I start out with a bigger jet than that?

Try a 160mj first. Its always better to be rich and very lean. Check your plug color from there.

went to the dealer to day and i got a 157.5 jet they didn't have a 160 jet. Do you think the 157.5 is big enough to start with? I seen the 800 for the first time sweet
