how does this adapter work...before i buy one i want to make sure i wont have to rearrange my whole houde....computer and tv w/ps2 are in different rooms!!! how does it hook up?? someone explain!

 

They are simple they hook in the back of your ps2 then all ya have to do is have a phone jack near by!! After you do setup you will have to know your internet settings to input and your set is very simple!!

 

ok so all i would need is a super long phone line then....i have qwest dsl it runs rhtough the phone lines to my eathernet modem!

You will need a router to use your DSL connection for your PS2. You need to connectyour DSL modem to a router and then run a Cat5e ethernet line to your PS2. If you connect a phone line, you will only have dial up speed.

 

I got mine all hooked up and on-line user name is the same as on here!!!!! say when and I will be on......

 

just so everyone knows the new "thin" playstation 2 already has the online feature built into it. the only thing you need is the cat5 cable to be plugged from the router to the back of the PS2. the older HUGE PS2's still need the online adapter which you can get from bestbuy/sears/walmart etc. the sony playstation brand is the best and is $39.99 or you can get a datel brand from bestbuy online or walmart for $19.99. the other way to get online without the cable is to buy the online wireless router which is around a hundred bucks that plugs into the PS2, then you don't need the cable.
