lost all elecctrical on my 99 scrambler 500 the other night. Started out having problems with the cooling fan, temp light came on and fan wasn't running. Was able to get fan to run by starting it by hand. 2nd time the light came on I stopped again to let it cool down nuetral and hot light started to flicker then went out. I lost everything electrical, indicator lights, headlights, awd,starter ect.. I was able to drive it home by pull starting it, still ran fine. Any ideas on what could have gone wrong?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

checked the breakers?

 

Not yet I'm waiting for it to get warm enough to melt all the ice that is coating almost everything right now. I did check the connections under the hood and have power getting to the ignition switch. It is supposed to warm up tommorrow and hoping to work on it then so we can go for a new years ride.

 

there are inline circuit breakers coming off the battery

 

get a new battery.

Traced it back to the switch on the handlebar (start, run, headlight, overide). engine off- run -start switch went bad. thanks for the help
