Sportsman Progressive springs
#1
My Progressive springs arrived this afternoon, Very nice quality, great packaging, instructions are somewhat meager but I think any monkey can figure it out, just have to be careful not to separate the cv joint. I going to install them today and see how they handle the glacier plow.

You can get them from Highlifter ATV Springs Link, they are $160 a set.
As far as installation, the biggest thing is to make sure you don't allow the CV to drop to low and pull out....
You need a spring compressor for the springs on the struts....fairly easy to put on...

I installed the Progressive springs today, I was supprised on the physical difference between these springs. The adjustable ones are approx 1.5 inches shorter but this is made up with the dimensions of the adjusters. The install took me longer than I thought but this was mostly repeated trips for tools since polaris finds in funny to mix and match metric and standard as well as I don't think there were more than 2 nuts and bolts that were the same size. I also didn't have the manual for the quad so I was being really careful as I went. I also took a lot of time making sure I didn't pull the cv joints apart. That said the install was really basic and after I did one side I was a bunch more confident on the other side and it took about 1/4 the time.
I haven't rode it very much, I adjusted the front for a 1/8 gap and cranked the rear up 2 notches. The front end sag after you push the front down is gone, the tires use to be splayed out and now thats gone as well, front end dive into corners is gone. Plus there is still a lot of adjustment left on the springs.
Haven't thrown the Glacier plow on yet but I will update on how the springs handle it..
