the shims sit under the spyder... just like a spacer kinda, they look like big washers, u do need a clutch tool and clutch vice to hold it in place to work on the clutch

Default Sp 800 Clutch problems

Mine idles at 1190 and doesn't creep. Shifter a little stiff, at times, though.

Default Sp 800 Clutch problems

creeping was minimal, did not really move on the ground, mostly just a term of speech. Most noticed was its hard shifting. wifes 05 sp 700 smooth and easy shifting. Belt was definatly to tight, why im not sure, we put a shim between the back two shivs to loosen the belt. shifts easy now.

That's right if shifting from/to P R or H you are supposed to hold down rear brake.

checked mine and it idles at about 1120, set this way when I got it, seems to work fine.
