Default Why Polaris?

The '03 and newer sportsmans have 3 grease fittings. Thats all. My scrambler has 12 (I think?) grease fittings. I personally believe in grease fittings. I like the idea of being able to expell crud out of the part. They could make it a little easier to reach though

i agree with everything revvsredd said. the scrambler 500ho is a sweet ride. it goes anywhere and fast if you choose. it can be outfitted with racks, winches, and plows. only thing different, when compared to the SP500, is the lack of the low range, fully independent suspension, and a little clearance.

but if you are wanting the utility function. than sportsman is for you.

Polaris has the most user friendly quads, easy to use with all the features you need on the '05s.
The only down side is the rear wheel EBS only, but this can be remidied with a little throttle action to keep them all locked in.
IMO the AWD is the best, its there when you need it on all four, at any speed and situation.

as much as i want to recommend the scrambler seeing how i love mine, id have to say go with a sportsman. it really is more of a work horse, the racks are much better than the scrammy's aftermarket racks, and the low range is nice.

i got my scrambler because i wanted SRA, and true 4wd. well kodiaks went IRS, and i hate the p650 cuz weve had bad luck with the one in our riding group, that and we have a good polaris dealer. well i dont regret getting my scrambler at all. i take this thing through some rocks, mud, hills, water, that i dont think the sportsman was designed for. as revshredd said, its amazing where the scrambler will go. been in water where my a$$ is wet, exhaust is gurlgin...as for mud, its surprising where itll go. now that i got my gators on it, in 3-4 in of mud, it goes good enuff where i can pop wheelies and such with the traction it gets. been over rocks that are up to the seat, just as long as u get the front tires over, itll pull itself right over the rock in 4wd. as for the sportiness, this thing FLIES. right now, its the fastest 4wd in our group. as for work, its still no comparison to my dads sp700.

if u really plan on workin it hard at all, i have to say go with a sportsman.

if its more for recreation, go with the scrambler
