425 Explorer Transmission Noise

425 Explorer Transmission Noise
I recently bought a 1996 425 Explorer with approximately 400 miles. I notice a whine noise that appears to coming from the transmission and it get more noticable as the rpm's increase. It appears to have no affect on the performance, it just concerns me. I was wondering if this is normal and if could be related to the hi/lo transmission.
