Hey guys.........I think I'm going to get a Rath header........It seems like a good mod. How hot do they get(compared to stock)?? I don't really want the heat shield(due to extra weight)......so can I stand it?? My stocker doesn't have a shield either, and I don't even notice it. Also, does Rath ceramic coat them for ya?? If not, has anyone had them coated?? Does it help with performance and heat?? Also how does it look........


I want one that is coated on the inside..........

just wait for me to get back together brad and i'll let you know how i feel about this hpd full system..hell you can even ride it if you want...i just don't think that jsut a header will be that noticable i think it more like...i spent this money and i want to notice a difference more than actually being one! JMO

 

I know, I'd like to have the hpd in the first place, but that is a lot of money for an exhaust system.........I really don't have that much money, to tell ya the truth.....The rath header, and my wb pipe I was hoping would be a pretty good setup(hopefully the only better would be a nicholas cycle pipe or rath pipe, or the hpd full system.....)......


You should get the hpd system ceramic coated though.......that would be really cool!!! Or do you not cc stainless......

nicholas has it on their website for 350.00 holiday special...150 more than the header for a full system...you could get 150 out of your w/b easy!! you can ride and hear mine before you make any decisions!!! i should be back together in a couple weeks and then i can always pull the head cover off drop in the new cams and adjust clearance when they're done...in search of a carb now [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

What carb are you looking into getting?? I was thinking about getting one too(or else getting my stocker bored......)......

 

prob either 48mm lectron or a 46mmhv lectron ...don't know yet they both tun close to 5 bills!!!! might have to buy a stocker and save a little for the lectorn or get it at income tax time!

 

Hey Brad, the Rath Header gets hot! You would have to get a heat shield for sure. I have not got my heat shield yet. I should be getting it soon. I like the header, and Doug likes the Header also. I did notice some low end grunt. And my Pure Polaris pipe sounds a little difference also with the header. I slo think it looks great. I would try to get some pictures but my digital camera took a poop on me.
