The heck with the metallic HO!!!!

That would be nice! Too bad I won't have any vacation time coming until next August (just changed jobs). I do work for a trucking company though. It would be sweet if I could finagle my way into hitching a ride on a westbound load, and then carting it back in a 53' trailer!! But here in the real world it ain't that easy at all. I'll end up settling for a green one if a silver one doesn't pop up before the time comes. My time frame has unfortunately expanded itself.

The silver is becoming less important by the minute. Aftermarket plastic is always available, but I couldn't justify taking it off a brand new machine just for that. Kind of like buying a brand new Silverado, and then coughing up $1500 for new wheels and tires. I never saw the point in that. But then again if you have the money for it and want it, then go ahead.

A wench would be ok, but only if its a good looking one that can cook and doesn't mind skinning squirrels or taking fish off the hook. A winch on the other hand has become a must after having one.

Bad news, kind of. This deal has been put on hold until I sell the AC it seems. Got back with the loan officer today and it would be 3years financing (I would have it paid off by Feb. though) at 11% interest (where did this come from?) with 15% down. I don't care to put 15% down. I'd rather wait and sell my current quad first. That sealed that deal as a NO. Called another bank and I could probably get 5 years (don't need it) at 11% interest. I figure they will want something down too though, so I didn't follow up on it. Another thing that has this put on hold is insurance. A good thing to have, but nothing I want. I figure I'll have to have it if I finance, and for the short time that I plan on paying, I don't care to fool with it.
Just to see what it would be, I called the insurance place and asked them. They said it would fall on my home owners insurance, but the problem is I don't own a home. The guy asked what I had insured with them and I said a 2000 Silverado Z71. After a second, he said he didn't even know how to draw up papers on that and then sorry. Idiot. That did it for me. I'll just wait till I sell the AC, and by that time, I'll probably be able to just pay cash for it and forget about it. It seems I've wasted a lot of time here on the phone lately for nothing. That really ticks me off, but it also gives me more experience for anything in the future.
This sucks, but thats how it goes I guess. All this hype for nothing. Make no mistake though, this will not pass. I will indeed wind up with the HO, just not as soon as I would have liked.
Thanks you guys for all the insight and help here.

That would be an idea. Suddenly come down with something that would necessitate an emergency trip to the Northwest! I will say this. If I had the money in hand and the time to spare, I would certainly consider heading up there, if nothing else than to visit the high country again. Its been 5 years since I was there last. Went skiing at Breckenridge and Keystone. Talk about the best 4 days of my life. I did it over spring break back in college and for that short time, I absolutely forgot that I had any other life anywhere else. Totally forgot about school, work, home, and anything else. I loved it up there. I've never been anywhere else that I didn't at least have some thoughts about what was going on back home. If USA Truck had a terminal in Colorado, I would probably eventually try to get transfered there someday. Too bad they do most of their business from Missouri - Pennsylvania- Forida area. When you guys say God's country, I know what you mean. We have hills here, there, they are called speedbumps.
