Today is opening day of grouse season in minnesota. I was out this morning till noon. I will go back out this afternoon again. This morning, this one water hole where the water never before even cleared the tires. Well the beavers have been at it I guess. I knew the hole so when i went in it, in 2 wd. as it was a piece of cake before. Well this morning my atv went down in it like a submarine then it came back up and out I went. I stoped and checked this hole out. It seems that some eager beavers, are digging and daming up for winter. I found another one that I went through this summer. Not only is it deeper but with all the downed trees over it. I need a chain saw or logging company to clear it out for us. f.y.i., so far this morning I saw 5 grouse and shot none. Will try this evening. The leaves are still on the trees and its hard to get a shot. Its fun being out there though. MY polaris xpedition 425 cc 5 speed and I.just love to hunt grouse.
