Hi everybody I am new to this forum but I am an avid atv rider.. I just got a couple of questions. I bought a new 700 sportsman 3 months ago it only has 85 miles on it.. Here is all the problems I have had with it.

- Water pump leaking
-fuel tank cracked
-headlight not working
annoying clunking noise
very hard starting
starter spins freely at times
over heated once ( riding easy 35 degrees out)
Steering wheel wobbles alot
flat tires

I have nothing against polaris I have owned three others with no problems but this is a piece of junk called dealer today and they have a no return policy I am very angry over this gave them 7500.oo dollers for a pile of junk.. Thanks Hunter31

 

hmmmm, are you a troll or just BSing us.....

you bought it from a dealer and it doesn't work? every dealer has some sort of warranty on what they sell....

first of all, what year is it? how long have you been riding it? if you gave them $7500, then it must be a 2005 model or you got screwed bad....if it is a 2005, since the first ones hit the streets in September, the its still under warranty.....

I hope you don't tell us that you paid $7500 for anything other than a 2005, brand new 2005 700 Twins are $6099 from Polaris of Chattanooga and they even have a left over '04 700 EFI for $6299....even the '04 comes with the full warranty....

Well you bought it 3 months ago? You have a factory 6 month warranty. The clunking noise is normal. Take it in for warranty work. Thats what it is for. And what is your question. You forgot that!

I think I smell something fishy.

 

I didn't mean to beat on him, did sound fishy looking at the price and the comments....any dealer will service all of these problems....I've just never heard of that many problems on a machine....I'm on my 3rd polaris and luckily have never had any major problems....none. If he bought it 3 months ago and it is a 2004 or earlier, than I can see it not having a warranty, but the dealer should still cover all of these issues....even though I don't like all of my dealers around here, they still take care of their customers....we also know that some people do not know how to take care of their machines....I can be rough on stuff, but still make sure everything is serviced....by me...
