Hawkeye does the 05 std have good low end power in 2nd and 3rd?

Yes it does, it wants to come up in 3rd most of the time.

 

Im sorry I paid $5,500 for the 04 I dont have the 05 but if I were to get one I would go with the STD and pass on the TLD

 

the standard addapts better to mods then the TLD, the TLD is rated as the best trail bike out at the moment and i think its claimed ATV of the year 2 years in a row. i would get the standard and use the 1300 bucks to mod it up, then it'll be unstoppable

 

Me and a couple guys i work with stopped at a polaris dealer and the dealer told my buddie the tld was 4mph slower than the standard model. 5th gear is the same so the top speed is the same right?

 

I lived in Ohio for 6 years..where do you guys ride that you can run at 75-79 mph?

I dont know about the TLD being slower than the STD...it could be true.

 

you should get the predator because we have one and it works really good on the dunes

 

Our group trail rides alot, and we will road ride some also. As far as Drgnerth I think they road ride alot. I have never rode with them, but I know a guy who does. The std. and the tld will top out the same. 5th gear is the same on both quads, the tld will probly get there faster, because 2-4 has taller gears.
