Well, had to pass on a red/black machine due to an unacceptable number of hours, and shifter not working properly. After waiting forever, just talked to my dealer, and instead of my red machine, he's going to receive a black/silver one. Well, not even Polaris's stupid website has a pic of that machine (aaaarghh!).
I'd like to see a pic of one, so I can decide if I'd take that one, and make it mine before it arrives; otherwise I might loose it.

elkbow has one, he should show up in a bit, i dont have the link to his website of pictures, but he has ALOT of ultra-high resolution shots of his black and silver 700, its basicly the same thing on outer cosmetics

 

The silver is metallic up close. I would go ahead and get it. If you just have to have the red, its just the two side panels and the top of the light pod. I wanted red, but I am very happy with the silver. Once you ride it, you won't care what color it is.

So whatever red is replaced by silver, and whatever is black stays the same? Maybe I can visualize that if nobody posts a pic, but would prefer a pic. I think the new '05 models have changed graphics, aren't they?
Hope to see an actual 800 black/silver to know exactly what I'd be getting. Still have a couple of days before it arrives.

Well I own a 700 EFI black and silver (they look the same almost). I also have a links to pictures of one: pic 1 pic 2 pic 3. Click the camara to see the pictures of my 700 EFI. I also have more pictures in my sig. Hope this helps...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I've got the 700, but same exact dimensions....so sort through my directories of pics, each link is a directory, click on the pic to see the larger version, make sure you click on 'all' near the bottom of the page to see all pics when in the upper directory....

Dave and Aaron, thanks a bunch for your help guys.
Thinking about it, I think silver is probably best for a quad. Red looks more appealing, but it'll show wear more readily, looks dirtier than silver (best color for that), and it'd probably decrease resale value, as no hunter would buy such a color. The silver is more subdued.
Thanks again. Will go with the silver. Better call dealer now.
