trying to find a 90
#13
The only real difference between the Pred 90 and the Sportsman 90 are the plastics and seat the frame and suspension is the same also take a look at the Bombardier 90 and the Dilini 90 they are made by the same company to the best of my knowlege???? The Bomb can be had new for around 1800.00 and Dilini for around 1600.00 This is what I found in AZ at least. I ended up buying the Pred for my son because he wanted a match to mine. I think I paid around 2300.00.

The Sport 90 has been a great machine, you'll be suprised on how much power they have and I've never had a problem with stability. I removed the front and rear rack for cleaning and you would be amazed how much it looks like a pred. I think you be happy with either Polaris 90. Good luck with the search, I'm sure your son will love it.

Yeah, if you get stuck with a sportsman, don't worry about it, its the same quad except with racks which are only beneficial. Does everyone else here agree that the muffler caps they come with are a bad idea? They teach kids that to get moving, you have to floor it and then back off the gas, which is BAD if they ever get on a real quad. I mean they are great toys, but they are quite different driving than a real quad, more like a snowmobile with the cycling of gas/coasting.

The kazuma has been great so far. We have about 15 hrs and no problems. I did have to retighten the chain. The only things that I did not like is the fact that the front shocks are very stiff and front end is alot more narrow then the back. I bought a set of wheel spacers for the front and it made a huge difference. If I had to do it all over I would have spent the $200 more for the shaft drive, disk breaks, fully automatic and rear brake light. Nothing wrong with the semiauto but it would be easier for my son to drive.
As for quality the frame looks very strong with good welds. The motor is a old Honda design motor. The plastics are thick and not cheap looking, I went over the whole quad to make sure all the bolts were tight. So we'll see how it holds up. I thought for the money it would be really cheap looking but was very surprised.

well, I bit the bullet and bought an 05 predator 90 for my son. I got it for $2250 out the door. He's at school so i just had to take it out for a little best ride. Not to bad that it can haul my big *** around. I've got to adjust the thumb throttle limiter.
Does anyone know if I should rejet for sub freezing temperatures or not. Usually the bikes come jetted a little rich. At least everyone that I've ever owned.
When I mentioned that I planned on racing my 500 in the local circuit, he offered to help out with parts. All I've gotta do is put his name on the fenders. Never thought I'd be able to get a sponsor.

We never rejetted ours. Do the 05's come with the cap on the muffler? If so, then IMO removing it makes the quad safer. With it on, it takes full throttle to get it rolling, which doesnt teach kids good habits.

I don't know about the cap. Right now I've got it stowed at my cousins until his birthday this saturday.
They did tell me that I should remove the metal cap from the cdi box. Apparently it causes the plugs to foul out. They said that the thumb limiter will have enough adjustment.
