97 Scrambler 400 - cold weather setup question
Last year I purchased an RCR Stage I kit for my Scrambler. I installed everything per instructions. Yes, this kit really woke this thing up. Now, I have one problem. It's 10 degrees out and this thing will not run for sh&*t. I assume it is the jetting since I've never run it in the cold since the kit. I've attempted to contact Rich at RCR via e-mail with no luck.
I'm not real mechanically inclined but can do things with instructions. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make my Scrambler run better in these cold conditions. Performance is not a priority for this time of year. I just want it to run steady. I was going to just revert back to the stock setup, but have lost the instructions and the Jet(s). Not sure if I should remove the mid-range pipe.
Please help.

You will not get a hold of Rick by email. Give him a call and he will be more than happy to help you out. His customer service is second to none. You should be able to run your setup in the cold, just need a little carb tuning and you'll be good to go!

Yeah all you should have to do is change out your main jet, move you needle position up or down and maybe tweek the air/fuel screw and you should be good to go. I have to rejet my bike twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall because of the temperature changes.
