Yeah, great videos jwyles. I've been wanting to watch a few matchups like that. I like those wheelstands . But I can pretend I am not jealous and say that I like my 400 because there is always very little fear of applying too much power. The wheels don't slip when you don't want them to, and unless you are way off camber, it is hard to lose your balance with the gas or brakes. The 400 can get itself over or through anything. Any bigger motor is really just to pull more or have more fun getting there. If your 800 didnt look so fun i'd say that the 400 is actually the ideal engine size, enough to power through anything that is encountered, but not enough to get you into trouble in the blink of an eye.

LIke I said, for 250.00 You can come real close to running with a 500 Sportsman on a 400, VERY close, and you know Honestly after hearing how some of the 500's run, I wouldnt hesitate to say, OUTRUN some 500's.
Polaris is very much a hit and miss company with their CLutches, Buy 3 machines, from the same dealer on the same day, One will run 57 MPH, anouther will run 61 MPH while another will hit 55. I hear alot of folks say their 500 will only do 55-57 MPH.. Our 400 is faster than that. I have also heard folks say that their 500 will run 60 + MPH. I dont argue top speeds when people say what they run (within reason) Because there just seems to be such a difference between one machine to another.
