Well polaris was out testing there line up in Havasu last week. They HAVE a 500 sportsamn EFI. I guess it will be on the market next YEAR. My guy said it's awsome with a lot of power and quick responce. $hit I should have waited a yr ,but I would not have liked the price.

Now that was smart of them. Most of the 4x4 market is in the 400-500cc range, so this should be HUGE hit. Gotta love Polaris for keeping the other ATV company's on there feet![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

Yea thats a pretty good figure.

I hope Polaris doesn't get like they were with the 800. They need to just go ahead and start building them now so they will have plenty when they are ready to come out LOL. If it's anything like the all-new Sportsman's of the past (700, 600, 800, 700EFI) they won't be able to meet demand at first.

Other than EFI what is different about it? What color's will it be offered in? Do you have a release date yet? Just some questions I just now thought to ask you lol...

 

to answer a few questions for you, whats different between the 700 carbed and the 700 EFI?, colors, probebly the same, the 700's and the 800s have the red and silver colors under their belt. and as for a release date, since its being tested i would guess the end of this year for 06 and if not that, possebly 05.5

also to go along with a hunch, the ranger XP's were releaced as a test to see how many people would buy an EFI ranger in my opinion, so, i think that this EFI 500 will also be fitted to the Ranger and the XP will go along with it somewere.

 

Lets hope it's true, I would have gotten a 500EFI if it were available but in 04' at the time it was just the 700EFI. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad for polaris to come out with the 500EFI cause lets be honest, everyone knows the 500HO has enough power/torque for what we all need right? so I am curious to see if the 600/700/800 sales go down tremendously due to that factor. alot of us only got the 700 cause of the EFI.
