Still getting the 800 setup for GNCC raceing, and suspension is a huge factor. So I went with works. They didn't make it for the 800 yet, but the 800 has the same travel as the Scramblers. So I bought Scrambler 500 struts. There setup for up to a 225lb rider and look great. They look like they will fit with no problem, and the shaft is quite a bit larger then the stock shaft. I also have a set of Progressive springs coming, also for a Scrambler. So I won't be able to see how things work until they come. This should help big time. I also have some Dalton springs coming to give me some better pickup after about 35mph. It gets there quick, but just flattens out to quick for me. I'm taken out both racks and seing if I can fab something for the front to hide the gap. This should take off quite abit of weight.

I just want to see how much it weighed. If it only weighs a few lbs, then it won't be worth taking off to fab a new piece. But if it weighs a lot, I will see what I can come up with.

I can see going with the struts, but not sure about the progressive springs, since the polaris springs are now progressive on the 2005 models....I could see going with an adjuster for the stock springs though...the kind that you get with progressive..

I got the springs for only $92 so it was worth giving it a try to see if it will make it better. I saw a post of yours back in Oct. How did they work out?

I have the 2005 machine, Progressive doesn't make springs for the 2005 yet...so what they sent me were for 2004 and before....they had the wrong info and press release on their website....

to show you the difference of the progressive vs stock polaris spring...this spring in the following picture in Red is the Polaris stock spring, the Black spring is the Progressive spring for the 2004 and earlier models:

Spring comparison

granted, this is the 700 spring from progressive, not sure how the scrambler spring will be...

So it looks like the 05 spring is about 3 1/2" longer then the Progrssive. So with the 05 being 1 1/2" taller then the 04, this would put the 04 spring 2" longer then the Progressive for the 04 to work. So if the Scrambler spring comes in at 2" shorter then my 05, then it should work. Well it sounds good.
