The Trailblazer is faster and a better jumper. It's a little lighter than the Trailboss plus it's a 2-stroke. I'm not guessing at this because I used to own a 00 Trailblazer and a friend of mine has a 00 Trailboss. We raced many times with the same outcome. The Trailboss does jump good, it's just not quite as fun. As far as mudding goes, neither of us had problems in the shallow stuff, but when it came to the thick deep mud you need a 4x4.

I have had both if you want reliability go with the boss if you want a better jumper and more speed go with the blazer. You can also modify the 2 stroke alot cheaper

I wouldn't say it's alot faster stock vs. stock. Since the trailblazer is a 2-stroke, once it gets going, it really seems like you're going pretty fast, but in reality the top speed isn't that fast. The trailboss has more torque since it's a 4-stroke so it has a little better take off. It seems like every time I went up against the trailboss I would pull past it around the middle of the powerband. He would always get me at take-off. Hope this helps.

Do you know what a powerband is? All quads "have" powerbands. It's the word people use to describe the machine's horsepower output curve. Low end = early acceleration, Mid = the middle (duh), and Top End = approaching top speed and the peak of the power curve.

I had noth quads at the same time and my trailboss had a white primary spring to let it rev up a little more on take off for a better jump my dad on the trailblazer weighing about 40 pounds more and me on the boss and the blazer would beat it every time. Yes if you put a pipe on the blazer does have a power band
