I have a problem starting the quad. It just makes a clicking noise when I try and start it. I replaced the starter a couple months ago and just swapped the battery. I'm thinking it may be a problem with the CDI. The clicking noise is coming right near the battery under the fender. Any help would be apprecitaed.

 

Sounds like the starter solenoid/relay. It should be right in front of the battery. You can also try starting it, while listening for the clicking sound to narrow it down. Hope this helps and good luck[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

The clicking sound is coming from the small black box right in front of the battery. Just wasn't sure what it was called. Thanks.

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]Check your connections for corrosion build up...If they are o.k...then it is probalby your starter..I changed two of them on 400 's this weekend..Both atv's would just click..I have found this always to be the problem...If the starter gets the least amount of water they will not work..Hope this helps..[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

I just swapped the starter and the bendix a couple months ago so I hope that's not the case. I'm gonna try and swap the solenoid first and see if that resolves the issue. Thanks for the help.
