your belt deflection is to tight, add a shim to the secondary clutch and it should be fine..

did you replace the spring in the drive clutch or just swap it to the new clutch? if you didnt repalce it then that could be your problem...the spring has lost tension....

or....

if you have submerged it in water ever and, got water in the clutch cover...your clutch could be hanging up on the inside of itself because it is corroded. this would make the atv creep in gear because it isnt opening up/returning. you or someone else will have to disassemble the clutch and rebuild it again. cleaning everything inside the clutch.

the shim needs to go between the secondary clutch sheaves..

then it is most likely NOT belt tension... take the primary clutch off and squeeze it together. if it doesnt return all the way than that is your problem.

have your clutch off set checked they may be misaligned. causing belt to drag on drive clutch. also, what idle speed? maybe too high?
also, ebs belt has little or no deflection.runs tight for braking.

Can I ask a dumb question. Is the belt you put on the right size? Just a thought.
