Default creeping in gear

quick question, when you say you put new clutches on are they brand new or another set off of a bike? if they are brand new, check the one way bearing housing on the drive clutch, thats the part in the middle with the ribs(I figure you already know this, not trying to be smarta$$). will it turn to the rear and not the front? does it not turn either way? if not you may have a bearing problem in it. if the clutches are off another bike, is this bearing housing loose- slides back and forth- on the clutch shaft when the clutch is together. if it has more than about 5 - 10 thousandths play it needs reshimmed. this causes the belt to ride up on the ribs against the inner clutch face and will make it creep. if this is the case pm me ill tell you an easy way to do it.

Default creeping in gear

Jeffro206.....my dad has a '01 sportsman 500 HO doing the exact same thing. He's replace the belt and had the clutch rebuilt by a ATV mechanic but still is creeping and hard to shift. If you could email me a phone # or another way to contact, I'd appreciate any help. My email is cooperr@ipa.net.
Thanks,
Richard
