vent could be plugged but the main thing is to get the moisture out. what happens is the moisture evaporates and condenses on the lens because the vent is lower and the turns back to moisture after it cools down, then the cycle just keeps going. ive used the hair dryer to dry a few. take it out so the vent is up and moisture can get out easier

I have a question and a theory for you cluster guys. I don't have one so I don't know for sure. Does the cluster create it's own heat? I mean does the LCD or the back light warm up the inside of the POD? If so it may be drawing in the moisture as it cools down (condensating) much like a muffler on your car. I've seen sealed headlights draw in moisture due to this process. The only cure I can think of is to give it adequate ventalation, but that of course would mean more chance of damage from the ellements.

I think your vent hole is plugged or the wiring harness is touching the vent hole allowing water to travel into the vent during washing.

Where exactly do you find this vent hole, do you have to take the cluster completely out of the pod?

yes you have to remove it ... it's just on by the black ring around the speedo

yea fishslab that could be the case. between the little so called "computer" in the speedo and the light it very well may condense just like you said. ive also seen guys steam the up with hot pressure washers. these little things suck for sure to fix.not hard, just a pain.

Polaris has had a problem with their speedos fogging forever and 2 days. Seems is real difficult to seal them up without moisture or seal so moisture dont get in. My 03 700 had in in when picked it up. I know there are many instances of it on here.

If it clouds up outside, mine foggs up. Well not really ,but I'm just saying it doesn't take much for it to happen.
