Default Want to do some dunes

Hi. Have a bunch of guys from Calgary, Alberta. Canada here want to do some desert/ dune riding in Oregon preferably the closer to us the better. We have scramblers. Looking for info on what we need to do to our machines, places to go where we can camp and ride in the same place. Appreciate the help.

Thanks

Treehugger, welcome to Oregon when you get here. You should feel right at home as we are loaded with treehuggers as well. lol If you plan on riding dunes I would highly suggest paddle tires. They can be kind of cheapos. I would try to steer clear of Geckos, but if that's all I had I would use them before nothing. You'll need a flag, but you can buy those here. Heck it might be cheaper to buy tires here too. Sand Lake is going to be one of the first dune oportunities in Oregon. Tillamook is real close and has lots to offer. I would try to make it down to Florence. Lots of varied dune riding. Look at the Dunes section of these forums. Much could be learned here. Lastly look here at OOHVA. Plenty of good info and links.
