As always, cash is the best option. If you do have to finance though, watch the interest rate. All the manufacturers may advertise $39 monthly payments, but check and see how long you'll be paying and at what rate. My brother in law went through Polaris Star card. After 1 year of $114 dollar payments, it hasn't made a dent in what he still owes. If you do use a maufacturer for financing, look for a credit union or bank to refinance after a year. You'll have built a good credit history and should get a decent rate.

I went to my credit union and they gave me the loan for 5% you have to look into it for a bit cause alot of dealers/brands only give you the extras(winch, accessories etc.) if you don't opt for the factory financing.

I am looking to buy right now too (450R for the wife) - going to put down 1/2 and finance the rest thru my credit union.
They always gave me awesome rates on my vehicle loans.

I have found that if you wait awhile, save the money, and pay cash, you will get a KILLER deal. People like cash. Cash is about the only way you get a deal on anything with the dealers around here, if you pay cash, they'll discount everything.

You can pay cash by going to the bank or credit union ... my bank just deposied the money in my account and i went with cash to the dealer. Just have to drop the title off at the bank.

I went with the Star Card for $49 a month for 24 months. I'm 3x the payment to pay it off in the 24 months. In the 24 months it is only like 4.9% but after it jumps to something like 17.9% so be carefull... I agree with Troyer, when I bought my truck I paid cash and I got it for almost 8k under sticker and 1200 under invoice...
