Ced's right, revs much faster and you can loose the battery and starter and shed some weight. If your drag racing alot, it's the only way to go!

Default Lightened flywheel on the scrambler?

I went with the trail lighten, 1 pound off. I couldnt bring myself to ditch the elec start yet. If I had known how easy it was to remove the flywheel I would have gotten it lightened a long time ago

This may sound like a stupid question but.....Can a flywheel be lightened on an '04 4X4? Will it make much difference?

How hard is it to remove the flywheel? Can you do-it-yourself? If you remove the starter do you plug the hole with a cover or what?

teallenjr

you can get a starter block off from rcr, hpd, and I think hotseat.

I made my own block off plate, if you have some scrap metal and alittle time and the tools its pretty easy.

you also have to get some type of capacitor so you can keep your lights, like a white brotheres battery eliminator.

How easy was it? I took the center bolt out of the clutch but it didn't move. Do I have to remove the smaller bolts around the clutch. How exactly does it come apart. 95 scrammy looking for quick response, bottom end.
