I was wondering what you guys use for the rear rack to help haul camping or hunting equipment? I just bring myself to buy a Polaris or aftermarket cargo box for the prices they ask for them (usually over $100.00), and the ones that I have looked at overlap the seat by at least 3". I want one that is functional and doesnt touch the seat.

Let me know what other options you guys use so maybe I will be up and ready before Deer season starts.

Thanks in advance.

I use the biggest ammo can I can find (got one about 16x18x24 inches) and strapped it down tight. The handles on it work great. Mine is top opening so I can always get into it. Not as big or fancy as some commercial boxes, but cost only $15, is waterproof, and very durable. A small ammo can fits snugly in it front to back with extra clothes or sleeping bag to keep it from sliding around. Great for keeping small or delicate things organized. I even know a guy who got an old packing crate from a trucking company free that fits the front rack of his Arctic Cat almost exactly! Wooden, so not waterproof, but has a nice hinged lid.

I use a Delta hopper, they have them at sears it works great. It is dust and waterproof and will hold alot,it also has removeable base plates so if you don't want the box on all you do is turn for levers inside and take the box off. It costs $50.00 at sears.

I went to Wal-Mart or K-Mart and bought an "Action Packer". They hold a lot of gear, keep water and dust out and strap down to the rack easily. Very popular boxes up here. They come in various sizes and are not expensive.
