I did the rubicon on 4th of july weekend. That leads me to the first bit of advise. Dont go on a national holiday. It took nearly 6 hours to make 2 miles of trail. There must have been 2000 vehicles lined up for miles. Each time one of them broke it stopped the flow, which was very slow, for an hour or two. As for the fun factor, if you like big rocks on steep hills this is the place. This is not the place for a new machine that you dont want to tear up i.e...floorboard,plastic,handlebars.....this place is not for whimps.Good luck
