fuel mapping for 700/800 efi's
anyone have any new info on polaris dealers being able to "fine tune" the fuel mapping on the sp efi's??? Would be nice to tayler the
settings to match any upgrades without spending $200-$300 on another module to cram under the hood. I want to let my new 700
breath like some of you already have with the 800 header/airbox mod etc, but want to adjust the fuel trim/mapping/ ignition timing to make the most of it. Also have thought of the possibility of modifing the turbo and fuel system from the polaris 750cc watercraft engine to fit... maybe just the whole engine!!! could you imagine.... 150 horsepower!!!!!!!! Lets see them make fun of how big and heavy my
sport ute is then!!!

DANO38,
On the 330 how is the dalton blk/gld spring. What kind of performance did it give. I am in the process of trying different springs. I dont want something that really raises the engagement rpm's but something that will raise the shift rpm's to make it pull harder and hold rpm's when going uphill.

on the 330 the biggest thing it fixed was how gutless it is on acceleration from a dead stop... on a slight uphill i can easily do a wheelie with a slight tug on the bars, and spinning the tires and steering with the rear is not a problem. with the stock primary spring (polaris blue/green) it would barely spin the tires on acceleration from a stop, and until the rpms got up there it was gutless. I don't know anything about the blue dalton spring, but was told by rick at rcr the orange spring would raise the enguagement rpm and belt grip
even more... but may bee too high for technical trail stuff. I might ask rick about the blue spring... at times it would have been nice to
have the enguagement a little lower for my wife when crawling over big rocks, it was a little jerky for her in the rough stuff, but does
keep up nicely with the bigger machines now. it's funny, every polaris I've owned has had their blue/green spring... even my friends
